video overload #2

Alright, the snow has stopped and its a sunny day in Chicago. With the help of 2 other neighbors Tony got our car dug out. They were actually really efficient and our car (along with 2 others) have a cleared path to get in and out. They say city plows are beginning to do side streets but we hear it is a street by street basis. Fortunately, yesterday it looked like a private plow went down our street and the street perpendicular so we have a cleared road that leads to a major street. Yeah! Here are more videos form this winter and holiday season. Enjoy!

Video #1: First snow fall in Chicago (early Dec 2010). We loved it. Our little neighborhood park was a perfect place to play. Jackson climbed up to the top of the slide - eating snow the whole way of course - and Daddy followed. The slide was covered in snow but we encouraged Jackson to slide down and he was eager to do so. Daddy thought Jackson would stick to the slide and Mommy thought that he would go really fast. Well guess who won that beat? Jackson went down like a bullet and shot off the slide, landing on his bottom. We felt bad but quickly saw that Jackson loved it. He went down a couple times until finally we thought of capturing it on video. Are we bad? Video warning: no children were hurt in this taping!

Video #2 and 3: This year Jackson found out he could eat the snow. We nipped that in butt pretty quickly because Chicago is dirty and glass seems to be around more often then not. So no more eating of snow but these videos are too cute not to .

Video #4: During Christmas Poppy took Jackson and Mommy to the train museum. He got to push all sorts of buttons that moved old trains and models/dioramas. They also have a section with large Thomas and Percy trains that kids can operate - make them stop and go. Jackson was curious and enjoyed saying "bye Thomas" as Thomas would roll away from him.

Video #5: Jackson and Conner loving the sled! They are so cute.

Video #6: Another one of Jackson and Conner. Post sledding, a little walk around Mac campus. Viewing the turbine and the football field.

video overload

So the big storm has hit Chicago. Crazy winds and snow everywhere - also who knew there was such a thing as "thundersnow". I didn't. We are safe and warm in our little home, eating popcorn, drinking hot cocoa, playing games and watching TV ... all in PJs. What better way to upload an enormous (and probably annoying, sorry) amount of videos over the past 4 months.

Video #1: One of my favorites of Jackson and Daddy back in September!

Video #2: Mommy found Jackson under his crafts table. You can hear Daddy say something about his "running backs", it must be Sunday during Fantasy Football season.

Video #3: Halloween! Our little stinker had the best costume - homemade by Grandma Jenny of course! We love her!

Video #4: Grandpa Frank and Jackson playing "this little piggy" over Thanksgiving. If you listen hard you can hear them. I love the giggles, so sweet and loving. Check out our family Packer gear!

Video #5: Jackson and Grandma Chris practicing his shot, his shot on a trike! This is another video from Thanksgiving when everyone was getting the horrible stomach flu. Grandma was a trooper, having fun with Jackson while helping everyone and avoiding getting sick herself! We love her!
