my cuz the con-man

These are great pics of Jackson and his cousin Conner. They had so much fun this summer - just wait until they see each other at Christmas when they are even bigger and faster!
Need I really say more about my nephew Conner - this pig face shot explains everything!Batman and Robin -- now they have to just decided which is which. "Uh-Oh" says Jackson.
Mommy riding with her boy.Conner wants down (that wiggly boy) but Nana says "not until I get some love and a picture!"

Not really sure what to do here.

These two boys couldn't get enough of the bucket of ice water. They were so confused because they wanted to play with it so much but at the same time it was really cold. Poor Jackson. We had to pull this kid away from the ice water - he wasn't happy about it but man were his hands red.

there he is ...

... Jackson turns ONE on Sept 7th at 11:58 in the morning. We love our little man, baby J, J-man, Jackson boy, munchkin, lil' Craw ... so so much!
Grandma Chris made the best carrot cake and even made a mini organic carrot cake (sans sugar) for Jackson.Jackson wasn't quiet sure what to do with the cake and it didn't help having a crowd of people watching with cameras in hand.Oh wait, never mind. That's our boy!Classic shot of Pappy and Jackson.Opening a few presents!
Uncle Don showing Jackson the guitar!
Aunt Lucy flying Jackson!Aunt Beck showing Jackson how to open presents.
"Birthday waffles for breakfast? Yes. Birthday hats for breakfast? Not sure."
Jackson (and his cuz Conner) helping Pappy make waffle batter.

september update!

We can't believe it - Jackson is now 13 months old! There are so many things that he's learning and mastering (more on that later). We want to post some great photos from September - these photos include our visit home to St. Paul, Jackson's first birthday party, Jackson walking, watching football with daddy, and our lil' precious sleeping.

The whole Bouressa family came to visit us while we were in St. Paul (well, almost the whole family -- Molly was greatly missed). Here are some awesome shots of Jackson and Grandpa Frank and Grandma Chris at the local splash pad:
We went on all sorts of adventures and trips. Just to name a few - mining for gold at the Science Museum, petting animals at the Great MN Get Together, swinging with Pappy, and dipping our toes into the Mississippi River! We made it to the orchard this year. Last year we got to the farm and decided it was a bit to windy and chilly to go apple picking with a newborn. This year was definitely different - the sun was out and Jackson loved eating apples. We went with Jackson's friend Nolan and his parents Missy and Gerry. Watching football on Sunday with his favorite guy. We haven't allowed Jackson to watch TV (he actually isn't that interested in it) but now that football season is here Daddy has it on and Jackson is a bit intrigued but usually ignores it and moves on to his toys (or climbing up the stairs - watch out Daddy!). Here are my two guys taking a few minutes to rest and watch.
The perks of having Tony in graduate school for the past year is having him come home early on certain days of the week. Here we are at a restaurant for lunch where Jackson loved sucking on a lemon. Jackson amazes us in that he is almost perfect out in public and people comment on his happy and intuitive personality. Having fun with Aunt Miranda and learning to walk. The 5th photo below is my favorite because it is the moment that Jackson took about 5 little steps right towards Miranda - this of course is the moment where they are embracing and Miranda gives praise! Walking back home in Columbus.

Plum tuckered out! We love our little man!
