first road trip home
We survived our first long road trip. Jackson was amazing but I have to admit Daddy and Mama had a great plan. As one of us drove the other would be in the back to entertain, feed, and help sooth Jackson. Note to other parents: bring lots of books!

Jackson loves to look at faces. He especially loves to look at his cousin Conner. We had a few older pics of Conner on our fridge so I decided to bring them along.
On our way to WI (Lake Geneva for a wedding) we stopped only once at a rest stop to stretch and crawl. We thought we might have to stop multiple times but found that one, extended stop (of about 20 mins) was sufficient. Who would have thunk?
Grandpa and grandma met up with us at Lake Geneva. Jackson had so much fun in the pool with grandma!
Daddy and Jackson at Ryan and Jen's wedding. Jackson loved so cute in his white oxford shirt and blue tie. I know I have better pics then this but it will have to do for now.

Jackson loves great grandma and grandpa Carnot. The rest of the week we journeyed north, home to Kaukauna. Not only did we get to see all the family for a whole week but we also helped celebrate great grandpa Paul's 80th birthday!
Jackson also really loves great grandma Joyce ... well, maybe a little too much. Jackson loves, loves, loves noses. He is consistently grabbing noses. We are trying to teach him gently as Jackson is getting stronger and stronger with each day. We still love this picture. We can still hear grandma saying "no, no ... let him pinch my nose!"
Although Jackson is curious, the best thing ever is the kindness and love that he gives as well.

At the Appleton Children's Museum with grandma! They had a blast.
"I think I might just rip this off the wall. Is that okay Grandpa?"
Yummy raspberries with the grandparents!
Keeping Jackson entertained while at Great Grandpa Pbut aul's birthday bash. It was a wonderful party. Jackson was wonderful. We had to get creative because Jackson wants to move everywhere but with all the people around it was kind of difficult.
Hanging out with cousin Jackie.
Jackson and grandma having some downtime at the end of the party. Just look at how much they love each other.
"Now this is a great spot!" and great ending to this really long post!

Daddy's Day!
growing fast
So on June 9th Jackson had his 9 month checkup with Dr. Thompson. Everything looks great and Dr. Thompson was impressed with Jackson's growth and strength. At 9 months Jackson was in the 95th percentile for height (30.5 in) and 60th percentile for weight (21 lbs) ... who knows where he is now! For a special treat, which we have never done before and will try not to continue, we took Jackson to DQ. He had his first taste of DQ treat and we think he liked it. First off the small cone at DQ is not how I remembered it. Although the temp of the ice cream seemed to upset Jackson he still kept grabbing at it. Jackson is quickly learning to love water and is now officially a water baby! We love our Parent and Infant swim class, and hope to continue it.
June visits!
This is long overdue - sorry folks! I'll keep it short and sweet.
Aunt Miranda came to visit the first week in June. Jackson had all sorts of fun with Miranda. We went to COSI, the Park of Roses and Mama and Miranda went out for Thai. Yum! We love her and miss her very much.
Thanks for visiting guys!
