happy birthday gramps!

(silly daddy)

Jackson wanted to send you a quick post to wish Grandpa Dan a very happy birthday! His gift is another tooth -- that's right Jackson now has two bottom teeth. On Easter Sunday, mama put her finger in Jackson's mouth and found a little tooth popping out. Daddy and mama have been waiting and waiting for this moment. This morning has been a bit hard for Jackson so we believe the top ones are coming soon. Bam, Bam - let's get this done Jackson says! (Trying something different and using smaller photos -- you can click on the image and it will enlarge the photo)
Jackson misses grandpa Dan so much that he couldn't resist sending these photos of Grandma Jenny's most recent visit.
We sure missed grandpa but grandma and Jackson went on long walks and picked out a few toys from the store.

easter bunny time

Although it has been a couple weeks now since the Easter Bunny stopped by our house, we had to post a few photos from our visit with Grandma Chris, Grandpa Frank, Aunt Becky, and Uncle Don.
They drove from Kaukauna to Columbus and stayed with us for a nice, extended weekend. We did all sorts of things -- played 21 (Don won one game), went for walks with Jackson new/used stroller, visited with family, and ate delicious food.
Jackson made out with a whole new stash of books from both families.
He was definitely happy and loved all the kisses from grandparents and aunt and uncle.
We sure miss everyone!

our little family

So here are some photos that we took back in Feb when Jackson was 5 1/2 months. We can't believe he is already 7 months!! Tony surprised us with a gift to get some professional shots taken -- just your basic photo place but nonetheless sweet and thoughtful. Jackson had a blast and every one loved him and his adorable smile. He is such a flirt!
I love this one because of the way Jackson is holding onto Daddy.

Loves those hands.

Nakey as a Jay Bird!

We have some shots with Jackson in a baby tub and HUGE rubber ducky - it was ridiculous really but I put my foot down when the woman said "how 'bout this little, green St. Pat's hat?" .... "Ahh, no thank you"

Happy Birthday Grandma!

A few more pics from our Florida trip.

Cranden beach fun!

Miami Beach boardwalk.

Sea Aquarium.

Always finding a way to measure things with our body parts.

What's out there?

"So this is how you do it, see"

So many kisses!

spring break in FL

Two weeks ago we traveled to south FL and met up with Grandma and Grandpa Keyser (a UW graduation present for Mama - how nice!). We spent time on Miami Beach in a really nice apartment and then headed just south of Miami to visit relatives. Jackson had fun exploring in the sand, dipping in the Atlantic Ocean, meeting family members, and visiting where Grandma grew up. At first Jackson didn't quite know what to think of the ocean (in his defense the wind was intense) but we spent an afternoon at the beach in Key Biscayne and he loved the water (much less windy). The company and relaxing in the sun with family was awesome.

Jackson is a great flier but coming back was some what difficult. Tony said that it could have been much worse though and I'd have to agree. Coming home is always wonderful but it is really difficult not waking up on the ocean. Jackson is moving a lot - getting up on his knees and experimenting with maneuvering from seated position to hands and knees. No full on crawling yet. He is mastering catching himself when in the seated position.

Alright, here are a crap-ton of photos from our trip.

Doing what they do best together!

Miami-Dade Sea Aquarium - Jackson got tuckered out.

Enjoying the dolphin show!

Wisconsin pride - it is sickening, I know.

My mom's cousin Liz - so I think that would make Jackson a third cousin.

Jackson with Great Great Aunt Joie - she loved her "JC" and he loved her.

Getting a ride from Grandpa.

Posting a video from the beach with Jackson and Daddy. You can't hear Dad but he told Mom that we needed two babies in order to get a complete workout. Ahh, not so fast big guy.

oldies but goodies

Here are a few photos and video from awhile ago. I’ve been meaning to post them but things have been busy for us. Jackson is trying all sorts of foods – carrots, green beans, peas, apples, pears, bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes and puffed cereal. He loves most foods but peas and green beans can be difficult. We usually have to mix in some other solid or rice/oatmeal cereal.

The whole family went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch Wisconsin play OSU during the Big Ten Tournament. Jackson was great and we had an awesome time (although WI didn’t win).

Look at that smile! We love it!
It was an intense finish - real nail biter!
Spring is here!
