baking with my Mama

Today was great. And Jackson is 15 months today! Don't really need to say more - enjoy the pics.

St. Nick's Day

St. Nick came to visit Jackson the night of Dec 5. We set out his shoe and since Jackson has been the sweetest boy this year he left him Teddy Grams and Little People's airport set. Jackson loved opening his present so Mama and Daddy are very excited for Christmas this year ... we have a feeling he won't sleep through the fiesto this year!
Loving the Little People set (and notice the bear ears!).
Daddy and Mama gave Jackson a kids table and chair set from Ikea about a month ago. Daddy had a great idea of painting the table with a motion W ... Mama helped out (remember our Halloween pumpkin). We love the table and Jackson is starting to use it to read, have a snack and of course play his piano. Although he still isn't interesting in coloring, just chewing on crayons.

Jackson loves to play with the TV buttons. Constantly turning the TV on and off. We don't mind and TV hasn't really kept his interest. I'm sure that time will come though and we need to think of a plan.
Notice the picture below. See the diaper box hanging on the wall. Well, this is what happens when Mama takes a shower and Daddy and Jackson decide to make a homemade b-ball hoop. Ahhhh, I'm thinking we need to just go out and buy one (esp since Jackson has already torn this make shift hoop down).
We have a ton of pictures similar to this one. The token highchair and messy face picture. But I like to see the progression and growth of Jackson -- remember him in past posts with little hair and his head sat below the orange Chico. We love you Jackson.

Thanksgiving in Kaukauna!

We had a great Thanksgiving in Kaukauna. We had a really nice, quiet and small Thanksgiving day dinner with the Bouressa family. It was really great. We got to spend time at the bball courts watching uncle Don play hoops. Jackson and Grandma Chris were cheering and clapping for Don and the Hawks.
Every Thanksgiving the Y in Kimberly opens there doors to everyone free of charge. Although we would have paid (because Jackson loves the water) it was nice to spend a couple hours of swimming with Aunt Becky and Uncle Don.We also got to spend time with Great Grandma Joyce and Uncle Mark and Aunt Kay.
Then we sped over to Great Grandma Mary and Grandpa Paul to say hello and play with clothespin.
The sweetest end to our vacation was Jackson giving Great Grandma Mary a big kiss. We didn't even try to prompt him ... he gave his love all by himself. He must have known that she needed it - we love you Grandma Mary and are thinking about you and Grandpa often!

There's always a first for everything ...

... and as first time parents the list is nearly endless. However, we had to post these 2 photos of Jackson's first time falling asleep while eating. Tony was feeding Jackson lunch today and we were talking back and forth between the kitchen and the dining room when all of a sudden I here Tony snicker. I peek into the dining room to see what was funny and saw Jackson slip off into a mid-day dose. Between transitioning to one nap a day and trying to push those molars out our little energizer just crashed! We love him so!

Grrrr ... brown bear!

We had so much fun for Halloween this year. We went over to Nolan's house for trick or treating. The two boys had a blast. Nolan went as a train engineer and Jackson was the cutest brown bear ever! I had a lot of fun making Jackson's first Halloween costume - considering I didn't really have a pattern and could have really used a seam stripper. A seam stripper would have made the whole process easier ... but other then that it wasn't too bad and we think the outcome was adorable. Take a look for yourself.
Brown bear, brown bear ... what do you see?Engineer Nolan - Nolan loved his candy. The boys having fun in the wagon. In Columbus families sit outside socializing and handing out candy. Tony and I have never heard of this before but think it is a smart and safe idea. Although, I kind of miss the whole door bell ringing thing."Jackson, are you already growing facial hair?"
I love this classic wagon/stare shot of the guys.
"Grrr ... I'm scary! Hands off the candy!"
Most of you know that Jackson goes to bed pretty early (about 7ish and sometimes earlier). Although Jackson was a bit tired and clingy near the end of trick or treating it wouldn't have been Halloween with out Daddy carrying the little guy home.

So because Jackson is so spanking cute and really spanking cute in his costume, we decided to take him to the park to have fun and take a bunch of photos. Have fun with this extremely long post.
And of course fun in the leaves! I absolutely had to share these pics of Jackson in the leaves. The color is just breathtaking.

The hat with the ears will always be a hit with mom and dad! We love you Jackson.
